Blackhawks Season Opener

I sit here in my Duncan Keith jersey wishing it could be 2013 again where the Blackhawks are one of the best teams in the league and I can go into the season knowing well at least make second round of the playoffs. But now it’s 2021 and basically all we have left from that team is Toews and Kane. This squad isn’t one to look over though. We have a young fast team in Alex Debrincat, Dylan Strome, and Kirby Dach. Like those guys are fuckin money. Kirby coming off a tough injury I expect him to come back to his normal game of play after a great recovery.

We pick up stud defender Seth Jones to help this young defense out. We just so happen to also pick up some other guy to help in goal, you guys might now him. Goes by The Flower? Yeah Marc-Andre Fleury is a Chicago Blackhawk. The 36 year old is coming in to help bring a few more shut outs to the season and give some pointers to our young stud Kevin Lankinen. He had some minor injuries last year that affected his playing, so we had Malcom Subban in who did nothing but let goals in and is down with the Ice Hogs (AHL) now.

I’m excited for what this season has in store for me though. I think Jeremy Colliton has been improving each year, he’s only 35, I think hes just getting started and hopefully will get the job done.

One final note, I just simply cannot do my first ever blog, while it being about the Blackhawks and not mention my two goats. The man who can’t be stopped. Patrick Kane. This dude is coming into his 15th season at 32 years old and hasn’t slowed down a bit. And my captain, Jonathan Toews, smartest man on the ice. I can’t wait to watch these two guys for another year, making people look like fools. Lets hope for another cup and party like it’s 2010…or ‘13, or ‘15… Go Hawks!
